Membership of Bala Lake Railway Society includes a regular copy of Llanuwchllyn Express (the Society journal) and the opportunity to work on the railway, helping to preserve the historic equipment and provide enjoyment to many.
Membership privileges also include free travel on Bala Lake Railway, discounted travel on a number of other narrow gauge steam railways and access to the jointly funded volunteer accommodation at the railway.
Your membership fees will also help us to help the railway by:
*Part funding the construction and maintenance of the volunteers hostel
*Providing money towards the cost of essential railway equipment
*Maintaining a caravan for volunteer accommodation
*Supporting the repair and refurbishment of the steam and diesel locomotives
*Providing publicity facilities: websites, press releases etc
*Funding and staging Santa Specials and other special days
*Part funding the construction of essential buildings and facilities
*Supplying regular staffing duty labour: drivers, firemen, guards etc

only satisfying, but very fulfilling, making new friends and expanding their social lives alongside the satisfaction of a day's work well done.
