Thursday 25 September 2008

A very pleasant day driving Maid Marian, runs like a well oiled sewing machine, with Rob as fireman and Bobby as guard.News from the railway is thus:- Boh Chilmark and Meirionedd are now in working order. Georgr B continues to make slow but steady progress towards a return to steam.  Holy War is undergoing its 10 year overhaul. When this is completed Alice will have hers. Triassic's boiler is to be inspected within the next two weeks with a view to using it on Santa trains. Talking of which are you going? Have you booked yet? Passenger numbers have held up well given the current economic climate and the Summer we have ( not ) had. The first of the working weekends is Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November. The top priority jobs are sleepers and bushwacking. Can you attend? If so contact Roger & Bobby. If you cannot make this weekend then Wednesdays are a good alternative as there are some regular attendees. Again contact Roger & Bobby if you can help.

Maid Marian waits for her crew to take the 2.25pm Llanuwchllyn to Bala
